PREPARATION:
✔ Sand the wood surface professionally: Final sanding for furniture with a maximum grit of 180.
✔ Wood moisture: 8–12 %.
✔ Substrate: Firm, dry, clean, textured, sound and free from release agents.
✔ Application conditions: Apply at room temperature.
OPTIONAL STEPS
➜ Higher wear or faster curing: OLI-NATURA Hardener Add in a ratio of 5:1 The mixture remains workable for 3 hours.
➜ Tannin-rich woods (e.g. oak): Before oiling treat with PreOilCleaner .
GOOD TO KNOW:
- When using OLI-NATURA Antique Reactive Stain the surface must previously neither be wetted nor cleaned with PreOilCleaner.
- 2K application: Mix with OLI-NATURA Hardener (5:1) . Pot life: approx. 2–3 hrs.. Curing time is reduced by 2–3 days.
- Coverage: Depending on wood species, sanding and absorbency. Excess oil as well as low temperatures and high humidity delay drying.
APPLICATION:
- Shake/stir the container thoroughly.
- (Optional) 2K application: Mix 5 parts oil with 1 part hardener thoroughly.
- Apply a small amount of oil thinly with a rubber squeegee or spatula. Then carefully work it in by hand or with an orbital sander using a beige pad. Alternatively, the oil can be applied and worked in directly with the beige pad. Apply more oil to dry areas.
- Allow the oil to penetrate for 15–30 minutes.
- Polish the excess oil by hand or with an orbital sander using a white polishing pad until the surface is saturated and no longer appears wet. If there is too much oil on the surface, remove the excess with a cloth before polishing. The surface must not feel sticky.
- If necessary, polish again the next day with a white polishing pad and 5–10 ml/m² of oil.
- Coverage:
1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the substrate, 20-40 g/m² per coat (25-50 m²/l) Drying:
Depending on humidity/temperature - dust-dry in 1.5-2 hrs., fully cured in 5-7 days; the 2K variant reduces this by 2-3 days. During this time, treat gently, protect from water and do not clean with a damp cloth. Storage:
Unopened in the original container, shelf life approx. 36 months. Clean work tools:

Safety information: Oil-soaked cloths and rags can

Low maintenance - a major advantage
A common misconception: Oiled surfaces are considered high-maintenance. In fact, they are particularly easy to maintain - simply re-oiling them refreshes their appearance time and again, and scratches can be repaired selectively.
Freshly oiled wood is sensitive to water during the first few days. Contact with liquids should be avoided until it has fully cured, and spilled water should be wiped up immediately.
Here are some care tips:
Routine cleaning
- Dust regularly with a soft cotton cloth.
- Remove light dirt with a slightly damp cloth.
- Clean stubborn dirt with OLI-NATURA wood soap – do not use all-purpose cleaners, as they dry out the wood.
Protection from moisture & heat
- Do not leave standing liquid on the surface.
- Wipe up spilled drinks immediately.
- Place hot pots only on trivets.
Refreshing & care
- Re-oil as needed - when the wood appears less water-repellent or looks dry.
- To refresh the protective layer, use OLI-NATURA wood care oil, OLI-NATURA Refresher, or care with itself Apply a thin layer with a cotton cloth and rub in evenly.
Easy repairs
- Fine scratches can be removed by lightly sanding and re-oiling.
- Smooth damaged areas locally with sandpaper and treat them with the original oil.
- Color differences even out over time.
With minimal effort, oiled wood stays beautiful and durable for a long time.
The product is not subject to labeling requirements and, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, is not classified as hazardous. Not classified as dangerous goods; no GHS pictograms or signal words are required.
Oil-soaked cloths/pads can spontaneously ignite due to heat buildup! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. P102 Keep out of reach of children.
