For cutting boards, end-grain boards, bread and serving boards, knife handles and other kitchen utensils made of absorbent wood. The care set is suitable for the initial treatment of raw or completely sanded wooden surfaces and for the regular aftercare of kitchen wood items already treated with boiled linseed oil. Smooth. Oil. Wipe off. If necessary, lightly sand the clean, completely dry wood with the sanding sponge and carefully remove the dust. Then work the boiled linseed oil in sparingly and evenly with a white pad. After the penetration time, completely remove excess oil with the oil-absorbent cloth. For aftercare, a sparing application is generally sufficient. Raw or completely sanded wood requires several thin coats, depending on the type of wood and its absorbency. Why is boiled linseed oil suitable for caring for cutting boards? Boiled linseed oil is one of the tried-and-tested classics of wood care. It penetrates deep into the wood fibres, enhances the colour and grain, and forms a durable, water-repellent surface. Particularly absorbent end grain benefits from the deep-acting oil treatment. OLI NATURA® boiled linseed oil is vegan, solvent-free and suitable for wooden surfaces that come into contact with food once fully cured. What is included in the OLI NATURA® Care Set No. 5? 250 ml OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil in Teak - for refreshing the warm wood tone and for regular care. 2-in-1 sanding sponge - for smoothing rough areas and raised wood fibers. Brush - for applying a thin, even coat of oil. Polishing pad - for working in and polishing the oil. Oil-absorbent cloth - for safely removing excess oil. Which garden furniture is the Care Set suitable for? For garden tables, garden chairs, wooden benches, garden loungers and other outdoor furniture made of hardwood, exotic wood and suitable outdoor woods such as teak, bangkirai, eucalyptus or black locust. Ideal for refreshing previously oiled wood - usually without completely sanding it down. How easy is it to use? Clean the wood and allow it to dry completely. Smooth rough areas with the sanding sponge if necessary. Apply the oil thinly, allow it to penetrate for about 15 minutes and remove all excess oil. Then polish with the polishing pad.
