These water-based wood stains in six colors are ready to use and can optionally be mixed together to create a wide range of shades. They are perfect for adding color to raw or stripped softwood and hardwood surfaces, ideal for a broad range of interior wood projects - from children's furniture and toys to stairs, doors, and paneling.
Thanks to its clear staining effect, our wood stain highlights the natural beauty of the wood without concealing its texture. Application is simple: After wetting the wood and intermediate sanding, apply the stain with a brush or sponge, remove excess material, and allow it to dry. The treated surface can then be oiled, waxed, or lacquered as desired to achieve the desired finish.
To prevent possible bleeding when overcoating with water-based lacquers, we recommend optionally mixing the stain with OLI-AQUA Hardener 13.2 in a ratio of 10:1. The easy application of our wood stain enables both professionals and DIY enthusiasts to achieve excellent results.
Surface preparation: Sand the wooden surface professionally. For the final sanding of furniture, use grit 180-240. Wet the wooden surface so that the wood pores can absorb the stain better later. Apply warm water with a damp sponge. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly (approx. 4 hours). Then, using gentle pressure, smooth the wood fibers raised by the water with a fine-grit sanding sponge or sandpaper (grit 180-240), and remove dust from the surface.
APPLICATION:
- Shake/stir the container well.
- Pour the required amount into a non-metallic bowl
- Apply the stain with a sponge, brush, or staining brush: first along the grain, then across it, and finally distribute it again in the direction of the grain.
- Allow the stain to penetrate for about 1-2 minutes, then pick up the excess stain with a clean, dry brush.
- Allow the wooden surface to dry thoroughly. Recoating with our water-based clear lacquers or OLI-NATURA hardwax oil is possible after just 5-6 hours.
COVERAGE: Depending on the type of wood and its absorbency, approx. 6-8 m²/liter
STORAGE : Unopened in the original container, shelf life is at least 24 months. Protect from frost.

PLEASE NOTE: Carry out a test staining beforehand. Due to the natural properties of wood, variations in stain color may occur and do not constitute grounds for complaint. If several individual containers are used for staining work, pour the contents of all containers into a non-metallic container and mix thoroughly. Light standard colors are achieved only on light woods.
