OLI-NATURA Colour-Oil 2C – Midnight Black | Black Wood Oil

Colour-Oil 2C Midnight Black colours and protects wood in just one coat.
The high-solid formulation with an especially high solids content creates intense black tones and a durable surface - ideal for furniture, stairs, and high-quality interior wood surfaces.
UV-stable pigments create even, long-lasting black tones.
The natural oil base made from linseed and tung oil penetrates deep into the wood and highlights its natural structure.
Two components. One powerful result.
Colour-Oil + Hardener in a 5 : 1 ratio create an especially durable surface.
Especially impressive on oak
For maximum depth of colour, oak can be pre-treated with OLI-NATURA ANTIQUE as an option.
The VOC-free reactive stain reacts with the natural tannins in the wood and creates authentic fumed or smoke effects.
Recommended: ANTIQUE Smoke Black.
Result: Deep-black wood surfaces with exceptional colour depth - especially on oak.
Preparation
- Sand the wood surface professionally.
- Recommended Final sanding for furniture: Max. P180
- A coarser sanding enhances the colour effect
- Wood moisture: 8–12 %
For maximum depth of black on oak (recommended):
Pre-treatment with OLI-NATURA ANTIQUE Reactive Stain - Smoked Black.
Drying: at least 2 hours
→ followed by light intermediate sanding
→ thoroughly remove dust from the surface Application
Mix component A and component B
Shake or stir the container thoroughly

Only mix as much material as can be applied within this time. Application Apply the oil-hardener mixture:Distribute the oil-hardener mixture evenly over the surface with a
stainless-steel spatula or rubber squeegee
until the surface is completely wetted. Massage in Carefully work it into the wood pores with a beige massage pad
(by hand or with a random orbital sander).
Alternatively: Apply and massage in directly with the beige pad.
Dry areas may need additional oil Penetration time and polishing
After
15 minutes polish off excess oil completely with a white polishing pad
The surface should then

Tip for excess oil
If oil remains on the surface after the dwell time:

Do not use household cleaners - they can dry out the wood.
Liquids:
Remove spilled liquids immediately.
Place hot containers only on a coaster .
Refreshing:
If the surface appears dry or loses its water repellency:
maintain it with OLI-NATURA Refresher or the original oil .
Tip:
For 2K systems for maintenance, use only the oil without hardener .

The product is not subject to labelling requirements. The mixture is not classified as hazardous within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008. It does not need to be labelled with GHS hazard pictograms or signal words and is not classified as dangerous goods.
Oil-soaked cloths/pads can self-ignite due to heat build-up! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. Keep out of reach of children. P102 Keep out of reach of children.
