The 13-piece HS Professional Oil Sample Set is ideal for testing colors on wood.It contains 13 × 20 ml HS Professional Oils, as well as a massage pad and a polishing pad for creating samples. Contains 13 × 20 ml HS Professional Oil - NATUR plus 12 colors Includes a massage pad and white polishing pad (can be cut to size) for easy application on test areas For realistic color samples on the original wood Colors: Natur, Chocolate Brown, Mahagony Brown, Terra Brown, Pale Brown, Beige Grey, Jet Black, Umbra Grey, Traffic Grey, Signal White, Light Ivory, Polar White, Walnut - - all colors can be mixed with one another Total content: 260 ml Close, but no cigar: That is why we recommend testing the color effect beforehand on a sample piece of the desired wood - before moving on to the final piece of furniture, stairs, or floor. This makes it easy to assess whether you really like the color.. That's exactly what our sample sets are for: They show how the color looks on your wood - because the final appearance depends heavily on the natural base color. The set contains 13 × 20 ml HS Professional Oil - including the colorless version NATUR as well as all 12 new trend colors for 2025 from Umbra Grey to Signal White. All color oils are transparent with, UV-stable pigments and can be mixed with one another, allowing you to create your own shades. Important:Shake well before use - pigments tend to settle at the bottom. Note on light colors:Signal White and Light Ivory specifically reduce the enhancement effect and give light wood a lightened, raw-wood-like appearance. CREATING A SAMPLE AREA - HERE'S HOW Step by step: Sanding Sand your chosen wood evenly - final sanding up to max. 180 grit. Make sure the sanding is clean - sanding mistakes are mercilessly visible with color oils. Masking off areas & preparing padsMask off equally sized test areas and cut 11 equally sized pad pieces - beige for massaging in, white for polishing. Shake the bottles thoroughlyThe color pigments tend to settle - so shake the bottle vigorously before use to distribute everything evenly. Apply the oilApply some oil to each test area and massage it in with the beige massage pad. Let it soak in briefly, then polish it with the white polishing pad.  Too much? Remove it!Is there still too much oil on the surface? First remove it with a soft cloth, then polish with the white pad. Leave to dryLet your sample dry overnight, then remove the masking tape. You can now clearly see how the color looks on your wood. 💡 Good to know: The product is fully cured after 5–8 days.  You can also mix the color oils with one another - for an even wider range of colors.  If you are working on oak and want to experiment with pre-stain OLI-AQUA Antique: please order separately.
