What is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE suitable for? The raw wood effect oil is suitable for protecting solid wood surfaces in residential interiors - from furniture and tabletops to stair treads, wall panels, and moldings. It is particularly suitable for untreated light-colored softwoods and hardwoods such as oak, ash, spruce, or fir. For more heavily used surfaces, 2K application with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is recommended. What does wood look like after applying OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE? The wood's natural color remains largely unchanged. The pores are not highlighted in white - creating a naturally raw surface without a limed effect that looks and feels like freshly sanded wood. Optional additional work steps can be used to adjust the surface appearance precisely. The impregnation can be refreshed repeatedly by re-oiling with OLI NATURA® Refresher. Testing on a sample area of the original wood is recommended. 20-ml samplers are available for this purpose. How easy is OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE to apply? The raw wood effect oil is applied to bare wood in two coats - by brush, roller, or spray application. Since the water content can raise the wood fibers, light intermediate sanding after the first coat is recommended. Polishing the still-wet second coat with a pad makes the surface more matte and helps prevent layer formation and streaks. OLI NATURA® Refresher can be used for initial care or an optional third coat. When is 2K application recommended? For more heavily used surfaces, Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE is applied with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener in a 10:1 ratio. The additional cross-linking increases resistance to water, grease, and typical household stresses. 2K application should generally be used for tabletops and surfaces where grease splashes are expected. What other features does OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil FOR FURNITURE offer? VOC-free, low-odor, and tested for interior use. The raw wood effect oil contains no volatile organic solvents, complies with DIN EN 71-3, is resistant to saliva and perspiration in accordance with DIN 53160, is approved by DIBt, and is declared by baubook. Oil-soaked pads and cloths are not prone to spontaneous combustion.

OLI NATURA® boiled linseed oil for wood: traditional wood finishing from our Heritage Collection “New Old School” - a nearly forgotten classic, reimagined. In the past, boiled linseed oil was a standard coating for wooden surfaces and structural elements - both indoors and outdoors. In 2015, we revived the traditional formulation, refined it carefully, and had it tested for food contact. Today, »OLI NATURA boiled linseed oil« stands for one of the most traditional ways to protect wood naturally. It penetrates deeply, cures in the wood, and forms a durable, water- and dirt-repellent coating. The surface remains breathable, does not crack or flake off, and can easily be maintained and recoated when needed. Which wood surfaces is OLI NATURA® boiled linseed oil suitable for? The transparent boiled linseed oil is suitable for the natural initial treatment of absorbent wood surfaces indoors and outdoors. It protects cutting boards, end grain, kitchen wood, turned objects, bowls, and knife handles, as well as wooden toys, birdhouses and bee houses, windows, and doors. The boiled linseed oil is solvent-free, suitable for children's toys, and LFGB-tested and suitable for wood surfaces that come into contact with food. How does OLI NATURA® boiled linseed oil affect wood? OLI NATURA boiled linseed oil is transparent and unpigmented, but it enhances the wood: the color and grain gain visibly greater depth, making the wood look more vibrant, warmer, and richer. Particularly light-colored wood species develop a natural honey tone. Since the color effect depends on the wood species and base tone, we recommend applying a test coat in an inconspicuous area beforehand. How is OLI NATURA® boiled linseed oil used? Apply the boiled linseed oil thinly and evenly with a cotton cloth or brush. After the penetration time, carefully remove excess oil and repeat the application after sufficient drying. Two to three coats are usually sufficient. What makes the traditional formulation special? Our purity promise for boiled linseed oil: pure, cold-pressed linseed oil, gently cooked and containing only as much drying agent as necessary. It accelerates and evens out the curing process. We deliberately avoid additional additives and solvents.  

OLI NATURA® Furniture Wax for Wood: Traditional Wax Care, Reinterpreted for Today  A classic from our Heritage Collection, reimagined. For generations, natural waxes have preserved the beauty of valuable furniture and antiques. »OLI NATURA Furniture Wax« continues this tradition in a contemporary way with beeswax and carnauba wax. The solvent-free hard wax gives wood a velvety feel and protects it with a fine, water-repellent wax layer. Applied thinly and polished after drying, it develops a gentle to silky sheen. Which wooden surfaces is OLI NATURA® Furniture Wax suitable for? The colorless, unpigmented wood wax is suitable for the initial treatment of raw wood as well as for caring for oiled, stained, or waxed wooden surfaces indoors. It enhances furniture, antiques, picture frames, wooden mouldings, carvings, and turned woodwork. Its mild odor also makes it suitable for the inside of cabinets and drawers. Other applications include surfaces finished with chalk paint, wooden toys, cutting boards, wooden cooking spoons, and other wooden kitchen utensils. If the type of wood or previous treatment is unknown, first test the product on a small area. How does OLI NATURA® Furniture Wax work on wood? Unlike wood oil, which penetrates the wood and protects it from within, furniture wax works close to the surface and changes the natural color tone less. The grain and structure remain visible, while polishing gives the surface a subtle sheen. Regular rewaxing supports the development of an even, distinctive patina. How is OLI NATURA® Furniture Wax applied? Apply the wax to clean, dry wood. If the consistency is too firm, the closed container can be gently warmed on a lukewarm radiator. Use a soft cotton cloth to spread it sparingly, thinly, and evenly in circular motions. Leave to dry until the surface is touch-dry. Then polish with a fresh cotton cloth or white polishing pad. The more intensively it is polished, the silkier the sheen. For raw or highly absorbent wood, a second thin coat may be advisable after drying. Tip: A discarded, clean, lint-free cotton jersey shirt is also ideal for polishing. What makes the formulation of OLI NATURA® Furniture Wax special? Purified beeswax nourishes the wooden surface, while hard carnauba wax gives the fine wax film strength. The formulation contains no added colorants or fragrances and is free from terpenes—including terpene-containing citrus oils such as orange peel oil—silicones, and VOCs. Cloths soaked with the wood wax are not prone to spontaneous combustion.

The result is a satin-matte finish. For an even more matte appearance, the surface can be polished with a white oil pad during the wet phase. How easy is OLI NATURA® hardwax oil to apply? The oil-wax combination can be applied easily and evenly. One coat is usually sufficient for furniture. FOR REGULAR CLEANING OF OILED WOODEN SURFACES Footprints, food stains, adhering dirt - oiled wood has to withstand quite a lot in everyday use. Usually, a dry cloth or clear water is sufficient. Where dirt can no longer be removed this way, OLI NATURA® wood soap comes into play. It cleans and cares for the surface in a single step, removes everyday dirt and also has a replenishing effect. This preserves the natural character of the wood - it can be used undiluted or diluted in a variety of ways. Which wooden surfaces is OLI NATURA® wood soap suitable for? For oiled, waxed, soaped or lye-treated wood indoors - from parquet and floorboards to stairs, furniture and other wooden surfaces that can be wiped with a damp cloth. Suitable for private and commercial use. When does wood need more than OLI NATURA® wood soap? Wood soap handles regular cleaning and maintenance care. For heavy, old, ingrained or deep-seated dirt, basic or intensive cleaning is the better choice - especially before re-oiling. If the surface appears dry, dull or visibly worn, maintenance oil for oiled wood is recommended. Does OLI NATURA® wood soap change the appearance of the wood? Wood soap cleans without leaching the surface or leaving a grey haze. This leaves the wood looking clean, fresh and naturally cared for after cleaning. How easy is OLI NATURA® wood soap to use? For regular cleaning, add 5–10 ml of wood soap per litre of lukewarm water and wipe with a damp cloth - using a cloth or white pad on small areas, and a floor wiper or flat mop on floors. For more stubborn dirt, apply undiluted to the affected area. The pH-neutral formula is gentle on skin and wood. What else makes OLI NATURA® wood soap special? The final colour effect results from the interaction between the wood and the oil. The type of wood, its natural colour and the sanding determine how the same colour will look later. That is why a sample area on the original wood shows the colour most reliably. All colours are also available as samplers. Cotton White reduces the natural enhancement of the wood grain and yellowing on light woods. Light White also visibly lightens the surface. Dark colours appear more intense on light woods, while light colours correspondingly appear more subtle on dark woods. Which types of wood and applications is OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil suitable for? For wood terraces, decking boards, garden furniture, pool surrounds and yacht decks made of suitable outdoor woods such as teak, bangkirai, Douglas fir, larch, eucalyptus, black locust, oak, Ipé or cumaru. The right choice when you want to preserve and visibly emphasize the warm character of the wood and are looking for a biocide-free wood oil for outdoor use. A particular advantage is the easy maintenance: The oil penetrates the wood and remains open-pore. The oil coating does not crack, peel or flake. Previously oiled surfaces can therefore usually be recoated easily without sanding. What does wood look like after applying OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil? Oiling gives the wood greater depth and warmth. The color and grain appear more vivid, while the surface remains open-pore and natural to the touch. Natural contains no pigments, but it is not visually colorless: Like any color-enhancing oil, it deepens the existing wood tone. Teak is lightly pigmented, subtly enhances warm wood tones and provides increased UV protection. The Teak color is also suitable for other types of wood without covering them in a teak tone. The type of wood, its natural color and sanding affect the color tone. A sample area on the original wood provides the most reliable indication. All color tones are available as samplers. How easy is OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil to apply? Apply thinly, allow to penetrate, remove excess. Apply the oil evenly in the direction of the grain and polish completely after about 15 minutes. Apply only to clean, dry wood. Then protect the freshly oiled surface from rain and moisture for 5–8 days. Very dry or highly absorbent wood can be oiled a second time after drying overnight. Treat dense woods such as teak only thinly. One coat is usually sufficient for refreshing the surface. Previously oiled surfaces can generally be maintained without sanding. Depending on weather and use, refreshing once a year is usually sufficient; for fully exposed wood, twice a year if needed. What can you rely on with OLI NATURA® Yacht & Teak Oil?
