The OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is the B component for OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil Classic and Scandic-Oil For Furniture. The additional cross-linking supports full curing and can accelerate curing as well as increase the chemical resistance of the treated surface.

The areas of application depend on the respective Scandic-Oil. Shortly before application, thoroughly mix the hardener with the oil in the specified ratio.

Mixing ratio by volume - oil : hardener

10:1 - Scandic-Oil Classic and Scandic-Oil For Furniture

  • 1 liter of oil + 100 ml of hardener

  • 2.5 liters of oil + 250 ml of hardener

  • 5 liters of oil + 500 ml of hardener

Only mix the required quantity and use immediately. Follow the information in the technical data sheet for the respective Scandic-Oil.

Pot life: 2-3 hours. Do not use after this period.

Mixing and application

  • Shortly before application, mix H2O-Hardener in a ratio of 10:1 (oil : hardener) by volume thoroughly with OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil Classic or Scandic-Oil For Furniture Do not mix on the wooden surface.
  • Mix only the required quantity and apply immediately. Do not return mixed material to the original container.
  • Prepare the surface and apply according to the technical data sheet for the respective Scandic-Oil.

Pot life

  • Apply the oil-hardener mixture within 2–3 hours Do not apply after the pot life has expired.
  • Application conditions and drying

Do not apply below

  • +15 °C Observe the temperature specifications and relative humidity information in the technical data sheet for the respective Scandic-Oil. Ensure adequate ventilation during and after application.
  • Observe the drying times and load-bearing capacity specified in the technical data sheet for the respective Scandic-Oil. Protect from water until fully cured.

What are the benefits of OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener?

Which oils can I use with OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener?

OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is approved for OLI NATURA® Scandic-Oil Classic and Scandic-Oil For Furniture . The mixing ratio is 10:1 by volume - oil : hardener. Example: 1 litre of oil + 100 ml of hardener. Observe the information in the technical data sheet for the respective Scandic-Oil.

Is OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener a thinner?

No. OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener is a reactive hardener component. It supports the cross-linking and full curing of the hydro-oil and is not intended for thinning.

Can I mix the oil and hardener directly on the wooden surface?

No. Mix OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener thoroughly with the Scandic-Oil before application. Only prepare the required quantity and use it immediately.

How long can I use the mixed oil?

After adding OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener, the pot life is 2-3 hours. Do not use after the pot life has expired.

Can I store the oil-hardener mixture?

No. The reaction begins when the hardener is mixed in. Use the mixture within the pot life and do not return it to the original container.

What should I bear in mind during application?

Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not inhale vapours or aerosols. Avoid skin contact and wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. Observe the labels and safety data sheets for the hardener and Scandic-Oil.

How long can OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener be stored?

In the unopened original container, OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener can be stored for six months when stored in a dry place between +5 and +30 °C . Protect from water, moisture, heat and direct sunlight.

Can I continue to use opened OLI NATURA® H2O-Hardener?

Seal the container tightly immediately after each use and protect it from water and moisture. The stated shelf life of six months applies to unopened original containers; no separate storage period is specified for opened containers.

Information on diisocyanate training

The product contains less than 0.1% by weight of diisocyanate monomers. No diisocyanate training is required under Regulation (EU) 2020/1149. Required instructions and protective measures remain in place.
