The “OLI-NATURA Project Oil,” based on natural oils, is used for the colored treatment of furniture, stairs, and floorboards made from almost all types of wood. It has a solids content of 60%, penetrates deeply into the pores, and reliably protects the wood from within. It does not form a surface film, but instead provides an open-pore impregnation. Thanks to the Project Oil’s high inherent penetration, it is particularly easy to apply and highly productive. With just one or two coats, highly water- and dirt-repellent wood surfaces are achieved that are easy to maintain and repair.
There are four colors that preserve the natural charm of the wood and enhance the tactile quality of the surface. The pigments preserve the wood’s grain pattern and give the surface a natural color. At the same time, the UV-stable color pigments help counteract the wood’s natural color change for as long as possible.
The Project Oil is ideal for all lye-treated, untreated, sanded, or new wood surfaces, and is also suitable for oriented strand boards (OSB) and cork indoors: whether for wooden or framed furniture, wall coverings, doors or kitchen furniture, parquet floors, or stairs.
Easy to apply: Depending on the area of application, the product is applied in one or two working steps with a brush, a pad, or an oil roller, so that the entire wood surface is evenly wetted with a glossy finish. After a short penetration time, the excess is simply removed with a cotton cloth/oil-absorbing cloth and polished again. If required, a second coat can be applied after drying overnight without intermediate sanding.
For furniture subject to normal wear, a single coat is generally sufficient. Floors, stairs, or heavily used furniture require more protection, however. A second coat is recommended here.

Quality: The “OLI-NATURA Project Oil” is based on modified vegetable oils such as linseed oil, medical-grade isoparaffin, and lead- and cobalt-free drying agents. We deliberately avoid using critical substances such as preservatives, formaldehyde, aromatics, biocides, cobalt salts, and oximes.
The product dries inside the wood to form a tough-elastic finish in combination with atmospheric oxygen. The oiled surface remains open-pore and breathable. Due to its diffusion openness (water vapor permeability), the treated wood can absorb moisture from the indoor air and release it again when needed. This improves the indoor climate and increases people’s well-being.
The cured material is harmless to humans, animals, and plants. It complies with DIN EN 71-3 (safety of toys) and DIN 53160 (resistance to saliva and perspiration), and is a construction product approved by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).
Application recommendation:
Sand the wood surface carefully, starting with coarse sanding; final sanding for furniture: P180-240, for floors: P100-150. The surface must be dry, thoroughly cleaned, and free of oil, wax, grease, silicone, and sanding dust. Apply the material at room temperature and shake/stir well.
For furniture:
- Apply the oil with a flat brush/flat brush Apply evenly in a thin coat in the direction of the grain. Leave to penetrate for 20-30 minutes. Spread and polish with a lint-free cotton cloth/oil-absorbing cloth until the surface appears dry. For large surfaces, use beige pad if necessary. If required, a second coat can be applied after 6-8 hours without intermediate sanding.
For parquet flooring:
- Apply the oil section by section to areas of 5-10 m² using a mohair roller, oil applicator, oil brush or flat brush Apply evenly in a thin coat. After an application time of 20-30 minutes, work it in by hand or with a single-disc machine during the wet phase using white or beige pad until the surface appears uniformly matt. Remove any excess oil with a cotton cloth/oil-absorbing cloth Remove. After drying overnight, apply a second coat as described above.
Coverage: 1-2 coats | Depending on the absorbency of the substrate, approximately 40-50 g/m² per coat (20-25 m²/l)
Drying: Depending on humidity and temperature, the surface is dust-dry after 1-2 hours and fully cured after 2-3 days. Protect it from water during this time.
Coverage / drying time depend on the type of wood and the absorbency of the substrate. Excess material on non-absorbent areas delays drying, as do low temperatures and/or excessively high humidity and/or excessively high wood moisture.

NOTE REGARDING THE RISK OF SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION: Oil-soaked cloths/pads can spontaneously ignite due to heat buildup! Therefore, clean them immediately after use or store them under water. The product itself is not self-igniting.
Only a few care measures are needed to keep the surface looking beautiful for a long time. Dust deposits, for example, can simply be wiped off with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
Parquet floors, on the other hand, should be vacuumed or swept daily, as sand and dust can cause fine scratches. Adhering dirt can be quickly removed with a mild wood soap. It is important to avoid excessive wetting and standing water.
At the same time, the oiled wood should be refreshed from time to time with the »OLI-NATURA Project Oil« or the »OLI-NATURA Wood Care Oil« . For normal maintenance cleaning, we recommend the OLI-NATURA Wood Soap. This replenishes the wood's pores with oil and renews its protective effect. After such treatment, the wood is antistatic and therefore attracts less dust.
In addition, the oiled surface can be easily refinished, which is not possible with lacquered surfaces. The affected area can be lightly sanded locally and recoated without having to renovate the entire surface.
Hazard-determining components for labeling
Materials contaminated with the product, such as cleaning rags, paper cleaning cloths, and protective clothing, may spontaneously ignite after several hours.
