How much OLI NATURA® wood soap do I need for cleaning?

For regular cleaning, add 5–10 ml of OLI NATURA® wood soap to one liter of lukewarm water.

• 1 liter of wood soap: is enough for approx. 100–200 liters of cleaning water.

Clean the wooden surface with a well-wrung cloth or mop, damp but not wet. Avoid standing water.

Note: Coverage depends on the dosage, degree of soiling, and cleaning method. A general coverage figure in square meters cannot be reliably determined from this.

How do I use OLI-NATURA wood soap correctly?

Dilute the wood soap with lukewarm water. One measuring cap (approx. 5–10 ml) per 1 liter of water is sufficient. Wipe the surface with a cotton cloth or mop, damp but not wet, then let it dry.

If you accidentally wipe with too much water, absorb the excess with a dry cloth to avoid leaving standing water on the surface. For stubborn stains, the soap can also be used undiluted. After allowing it to work briefly, wipe the area with a damp cloth.

What exactly does “damp but not wet” mean?

“Damp but not wet” means that the cloth or mop is well wrung out and no longer dripping. When wiping, only a thin film of moisture should remain on the surface—like a light mist. This gently cleans the wood without soaking it.

If too much moisture does collect on the surface, simply absorb it with a dry cloth to prevent water from penetrating the wood or joints.

Which wooden surfaces is the soap suitable for?

OLI-NATURA wood soap is suitable for all oiled, waxed, soaped, or lye-treated wooden surfaces indoors that can be wiped with a damp cloth—for example, parquet floors, stairs, furniture, or countertops.

Do I need to clean the surface again or re-oil after wiping?

No, that is not necessary. The soap cleans thoroughly and replenishes oils without leaving a layer behind. Additional re-oiling or wiping is not required after cleaning.

How concentrated is the wood soap?

The wood soap is a highly concentrated cleaning solution and therefore goes a long way. A small amount is enough for a thorough clean. Depending on how it is used, one liter is enough for many applications.

Can I also use regular household cleaners?

This is strongly discouraged. Use only pH-neutral cleaning products specifically developed for oiled wooden surfaces. Conventional cleaners, especially highly alkaline ones, can dry out the wood and permanently damage the surface.
