If you want to reuse brushes and similar tools soaked in wood oil several times, the bristles need to be cleaned again. However, water and dishwashing liquid alone are not enough for oxidatively drying natural oils. In the past, cleaners based on turpentine substitute, white spirit, or other solvents were the only way to remove wood oil from brush bristles and similar tools. Today, however, there are sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives whose formulations completely avoid these controversial ingredients. Natural brush cleaner is gentle on natural hair bristles and the environment
This brush cleaner is biodegradable and reliably removes oils and waxes from brushes, rollers, and similar tools. It also cleans paints, lacquers, grease, soot, tar, and bitumen, making it indispensable in the home and workshop. It cleans gently yet powerfully, without an unpleasant odor. The »OLI-NATURA brush cleaner« contains a very high proportion of ingredients of natural origin and is vegan. It is water-based and also contains coconut fatty acid, orange oil, cellulose, and Citrus sinensis. This means it is gentle not only on high-quality natural hair bristles but also on the environment.
Application is incredibly simple
- Pour some brush cleaner into a container and move your brush in the liquid until no coating can be seen in the brush.
- Sometimes this works faster if you work the brush against the bottom of the container.
- Then rinse the brush under water, dry it with a little kitchen paper if necessary, and leave it to dry - done.
Dried-on tools can also be soaked in the »OLI-NATURA brush cleaner«. Then simply rinse them with water and leave them to dry (do not place them on their bristles). Once cleaned this way, you can reuse the brush several times.
Pro TIP: Save brush cleaner and protect your wallet
If you often work with oxidatively drying wood oils and want to waste as little brush cleaner as possible, it is recommended that you use two jars to clean your brushes: For the »coarse cleaning«, work oil-soaked brushes thoroughly in the first jar with brush cleaner and then dry them with kitchen paper or a cloth. For the »fine cleaning«, place the pre-cleaned brushes in the second jar containing clean brush cleaner. This cleans the brushes thoroughly, and the brush cleaner can be reused several times. As soon as the jar with the clean brush cleaner becomes contaminated, simply use it for coarse cleaning. This helps protect your wallet.
