On light softwoods and oak, the original colour of the substrate remains virtually unchanged. The treated surface looks as though it were made of untreated, freshly planed wood. Nevertheless, the wood is protected by a durable lacquer film - virtually invisible. In addition, the environmentally friendly water-based lacquer produces a remarkable gloss level of under 5 Gloss. The matte lacquer finish scatters the light, further enhancing the dull-matte effect.
The high-solids »OLI-AQUA NORDIC 18.40« can be easily brushed, rolled or sprayed and sanded with ease. During the wet phase, a milky haze appears, which completely disappears as it dries and creates an exceptional raw wood effect.
The environmentally friendly raw wood effect lacquer delays the natural yellowing process and is free from aromatics. It has excellent flow and good hold-up, which is particularly important when spray lacquering vertical parts. In addition, the »OLI-AQUA NORDIC 18.40« is certified as flame-retardant in accordance with the Europe-wide DIN EN 13501-1 testing standard, and wooden building elements continue to comply with fire protection regulations after coating.
